The UK's leading Bus & Coach database
Welcome to Busdata
The Home of Bus & Coach Information for the Enthusiast and Transport Industry
Busdata is a computer database which contains histories of all known psv and non-psv buses, coaches and minibuses, and operators, in the British Isles (UK, Ireland, IoM, Channel Isles) from the mid 1980s to the present day, as well as details of many non-UK vehicles and operators. It also contains much historical information from before 1985. Additional historical information is constantly being added.
The Busdata database is normally updated every month. It currently contains details of over 500,000 vehicles and their histories. It is believed to be the most comprehensive database of modern vehicles in existance.
The database is available to the bus enthusiast community via the main product Busview, which is available in two versions which can be purchased here as annual subscriptions from as little as just £50 per annum.

Our data is also used by Commercial Organisations - Parts Suppliers, Manufacturers, Consultants, etc. - and we can supply a wide variety of bespoke reports in excel/word formats to meet special requirements. Please contact us by email to discuss your requirements.

About Busdata & Busview
The Leading Database of all British & Irish Buses & Coaches
Busdata has been developed since the mid-1980s. Originally outputs from the database were only available in the form of paper lists which were marketed to enthusiasts from the late 1980s onwards. In the early 2000s this was developed into the Busview program available to use on PCs and Laptops. The database and the Busview program were developed by Roger Storr. In 2018, Roger decided to retire and ceased to market Busview. The database continued to be maintained and kept up-to-date, however, and in early 2019, the database and the rights to market its products were purchased by Busdata Ltd. This is a consortium of enthusiasts including members of the team who had been assisting Roger in maintaining the database. Roger continues to be an active member of the team.
Busview is aimed at the enthusiast wanting comprehensive information about vehicles and operators. It currently contains current and historic information for over 500,000 vehicles and the information is growing monthly.
This is a massive database that is installed on your computer and can be used to search for the full history of any vehicle, fleet or operator. It is kept up-to-date for all areas of the British Isles on a monthly basis. You can use it for reference and you can also use it to record your own notes, sightings, details of photos, vehicle movements etc. The Standard full Busview works through the Windows environment and to use it you will need to buy an annual subscription.
NEW

We also now offer a 'cut-down' version of the database, known as 'Busview Lite' which has details of all current vehicles and operators in the British Isles and can be accessed from any internet enabled device - phone, tablet or computer and does not require the program to be installed on any computer . For the active enthusiast this is the equivalent of having a complete set of constantly updated fleetbooks with you at all times - and at a lot less cost!
Busview Options
We have two Subscription options - Busview and Busview Lite - available individually or jointly
BUSVIEW FULL VERSION £70
Busview 12 month Subscription
This is the standard version of Busview with full details of all vehicles and operators in our database - historic and current plus a 12 month supply of regular updates, up to one per month, to ensure you have the latest available data and all new vehicles and fleet changes. If you have recorded your own data it will remain on your computer and become integrated with the updated version. This version requires a windows PC/Laptop to work. At the end of the 12 month period, you will need to renew for a further 12 month period at the then current annual subscription rate. Please note - The program ceases to work once subscriptions have expired. We offer a 7 day free trial and then an annual subscription of £70 per annum. A combined subscription with Busview Lite is available for £90 per annum.
BUSVIEW LITE £50
Busview Lite 12 month Subscription
This is the cut down version of Busview which details all current vehicles and operators (including non-psvs) but without the historic information, however it has the advantage of being accessible from any internet connected device such as smartphones or tablets. This is the equivalent of having a full set of bus fleetbooks on your phone with the massive advantage that the data is updated monthly to ensure you have the latest vehicle and fleet changes across all fleets. You can also report vehicle/fleet changes directly to us via the site.
It can be searched by vehicle registration or VIN and by operator name/location etc., and it has the facility to provide a current full fleet list for any operator in PDF format. All at a fraction of the cost of a set of annual printed fleetbooks!
A subscription lasts 12 months and you will then need to renew for a further 12 month period to retain access - you cannot access the program once your subscription has expired. An annual subscription costs £50 per annum. You can also subscribe to Busview & Busview Lite for a combined cost of £90 per annum
